"Trust Me"!!!

Ok! How many times we hear that one! Sometimes it matters, sometimes it doesn't. But when it comes to any therapeutic, cosmetic or medical procedure it completely matters!
For years, I was never one to pay much attention to some of the cosmetic procedures out there that many use just to knock years off of their physical appearance. As a makeup artist I had simply learned techniques over the years to cause a similar result.

However, when you have to eat your own words or when you are exposed to something new and it changes your opinion, then you go with it. So there I went and finally stepped into that new world with an opportunity to have some Dysport injections. Think Botox and you'll understand what Dysport is--But I won't go into the differences as I am not educated on that.

I had it done on my forehead and my center frown lines. I have to admit I was nervous and excited but as I watched over the next few days in the mirror, jumping up and down in excitement is probably a more truthful descriptive term..lol

I am completely blown away at the results and how many years this removed from my particular age appearance. Will I now become an addict? lol Iv'e now given that consideration as thats how positive I feel about it now.

Do I now believe in it? ABSOLUTELY!!! More particularly, as many of my readers know, I advocate for those that support our community by being friendly and welcoming and I also report those I trust so I can advocate their services to others. In this case I now have that with a Doctor performing my cosmetic procedures. My recommendation for him, his professionalism, and care, I will advocate for.

So those on that "edge" considering this minor procedure with MAJOR results, feel free to email me and I will provide his information. Male, Female, both, all walks of life are welcome!

Ill keep you posted lovlies!!!!!

XOXO, Ashley

With Dignity..We deserve EQUAL, not MORE Rights!

So here are the topics, Here are the questions and Controversies and here are my humble opinions. None of this is based on any serious legal opinion, but on research and on the way I approach these situations. All comments are appreciated and feel free as Im currently preparing to write an E-Book to include these topics.

The Public Bathroom Dilemma: Its always a dilemma, its always surfacing as a new topic in transgender blogs. It bears huge consideration and exploration. Public bathrooms can be somewhat of an "enigma", a mystery, a scary place, a forebodding land. When all else has gone well on that date-there comes a time when we must use the bathroom. So there you go--off to it. You haven't even made up your mind as to which one on that walk. You are completely intimidated, completely humbled and all you can hope is that when you open that door, either nobody is in there--or those that are will just accept you and move on their way. Sound Familiar?? My point is quick, if you look like a female and are acting like one--at the fork--you MUST choose the female/girls room. The dilemma you face is --legally in many places--yes--you could get in some trouble, uh--I seriousely doubt that anyone would want to prosecute that type of case as the ACLU would love to have it. BUT--Try walking into a boys bathroom dressed like me in my pic. What is gonna be worse. The considerations for your own safety must come first. The considerations for others must comes first!. However, what you must not ever ever do is what I like to term. "Hanging out in the show" This is not a time to make waves, to hang out and wait for others to bounce in and out, to make others uncomfortable at all. You are to be respectful, demure, humble and do what you came to do. A spectacle? NO...!! Think of others before yourself and how they can be impacted. Everyone coming after you follows your lead--Dont make this an issue.
I haven't used a boys bathroom in years..Id say first for my own safety, but second--just because 1. They havent installled the "unisex" bathroom and 2. Because I have not undergone SRS, Does not mean I do not identify as a female?--Ask me if Im a female, then Ill tell you which bathroom I refuse to use.. It starts with a B!.
I have been known to publically shame places where I have heard of transgender girls being thrown out of a girls bathroom or being denied entry. Those places, I need to know, we can just do it together publically. However..If the behavior in that room is anything less than ladylike--Then No...I do not support you...

Just my piece of the day!! Email or comment--Id love to hear ALL sides of the issue!!!!

xoxo Ashley

Every once in a while in your life you come across someone who I term a "gorgeous soul" often those people enter you life just when you least expect it, yet when you most need it. This past week I had a truly beautiful experience when a recent client walked into my salon. The very truth of the matter is that sometimes I get wrapped up with client after client, although I treat each as best as I can, I just sometimes "fog out" and go through my day.

But this one was different, and this one was touching. You see, this one made me realize again that I am fortunate, fortunate to be who I am, how I am and how much I help others. I will not violate my clients privacy by describing them accurately, but what I can say is that this person has spent the past few years in their own rough patch. Having gone through--what must have been an enourmous trial in life, learning they have discovered cancer, treating and surgically operating in an area quite visible to others, I was awakened with a task not even I was sure I could solve. My head spun, my hands shook and the only goal was to provide the opportunity to be able to look in the mirror and not see those scars. To be comfortable that people werent looking, examining, judging.

I had to do my best and was aware of the nervousness of the situation. My client was older, yet classy, well spoken and seemed very upbeat. Far better than Id have been. The goal was to be able to "go out" there in public--To just once try to make it happen and to step upon a fear we have all endured.

I worked some methods to complete the makeover and spend some time discussing all of those elements of the nerves, the asbolute horror of what could happen upon leaving my salon. All the while, I felt like breaking down and crying as it certainly flashed me back to every feeling I had years ago coming out and being out. I remembered every fear that we take for granted and try to forget.

Needless to say, there was a massive element of pride when I was told that it was going to happen and my clients was leaving to accomplish this life goal. It made me feel like it was something out of the "bucket list" movie and when gone, I broke down and cried--hard..

Ive never cried after a client, but in this case--this person opened my eyes again. This person let me know that there are struggles out there way bigger than mine and the daily choices we make are crucial. Do we live our lives and become strong individuals, or do we wait and just hope we can make it through some future regret. I dont want to look back at my life with that regret and Im proud and glad I was able to be there when another needed me.

Today, I shall thank God for what I have and for giving me the skill to do what I do. Often us Makeup artists and Stylists are not seen as a career of individuals worthy of helping others. Ive proved the naysayers wrong. Id never change my career and IM proud of all of us in this line of work. We do have a place, we are helping and each of us should be proud.

Im guessing thats my list so far..Ill update and I owe some of you asking on some legal issues vs. the transgender community. Im doing some mega research here on some of the following issues.

Public Facilites: I will be arguing that it is not against the law to use a female facilitity even if srs has not been chosen.
Vehicles and Driving: I will argue that it is not illegal to get behind the wheel as a female--even when your ID says male (Caveat--Illegal activities while driving is a no no)
"The Checkout": Did you just get carded, how to react--how to present and some of my advice on how to cope with those issues--Ive been in them all--so hang tight--the advice is coming!

Have a great weekend everyone! please please please come follow me on my site and register under "create an account" it means the world!!!!!!! or just contact me and say hi or --even" I hate what you write bitch..lmao"
